HOW TO GET THE WORK DONE QUICKLY AND AVOID BURNOUT
What they didn’t teach in graduate school:
When I was working as a prelicensed therapist, progress notes always piled up and took forever to get through. I often only had 10 minutes to do them between clients. I'll admit it, I may have been a competent therapist, but I was a WRECK with my deadlines.

The therapeutic work of being a therapist was wonderful, but the job of doing the paperwork zapped the joy out of many days.

Maybe you can relate. Don't let this keep happening to you.

I am currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working in private practice. I started my private practice in the summer of 2019 while I was still working for wraparound (foster and probation youth) and military families contract programs. I was also planning a wedding, moving, and losing my dog Rocco to old age. I only survived that time because I had already experienced burnout before, dug out of it, and I implemented every skill I had to prevent it from happening again.

During the transition to private practice, I noticed there are tons of coaching programs, courses, and podcasts to support private practice therapists, but where was all help that when I was burned out in the trenches of agency work? I didn't have those tools early on in my training, but you can - no strings attached.

I know if I can keep you from burning out, you’re going to keep doing an amazing job with your clients for the long haul. And if you decide you want a supervisor role, or a totally different role one day, you’ll be mentally and emotionally ready to take those leaps.
